Marauders Name Change Options

Following on from the managers meeting on Monday evening, I hope that we can now put this to bed. However, before we do, can I ask, that only factual information is put on the website in future. We need to remember that nyone can get in and view what's being 'chatted' about.
The reason for the name change, was originally, nothing to do with where we came from, that came after. The reason was that in the Clubs Constitution and all the paper work headers, we were Marauders FC - Fairplay Sports & Leisure. The Fairplay Sports & Leisure needed to be dropped. That was the request. As I've said before, two of the Leagues I made enquiries to, The Lancashire League, and The Lancashire & Cheshire League, both said that they would prefer us to have the area name in the title, unless we were entering under a company name. Hence the request to add Prestwich to the name, seeing as how we had already adopted the Prestwich Coat of Arms as our crest.
Since making those original enquiries, they have changed their minds again, and it is no longer a criteria to have the area in the name.
The next proposal will be that the name of the club changes to Marauders FC.

As for some of the comments I've received and seen, Standians and Stand Athletic, are both taking their name from an area, so is Mellor. Old Stoconians entered the L&C in 1929 as Stockport Secondary School Old Boys and were allowed to shorten their name.
Finally, Arsenal started life as Woolwich Arsenal.
